Education and academic record:

Dawid Marek graduated from the Jagiellonian University defending his master’s thesis in banking law. During his studies, he was active in the labor law section of the Association of Law Students’ Library of the Jagiellonian University.

He is a graduate of the doctoral program at the JU (Institute of Intellectual Property Law at the Faculty of Management and Social Communication).

Co-author of the commentary – Act on Legal Protection of Plant Varieties. Commentary, Publisher: Wolters Kluwer.

Practice areas and experience:

Dawid Marek specializes in broadly defined tax law, especially value added tax and income taxes, including, among others, transfer pricing, Estonian CIT and family foundations.

He provides tax consulting services, among others, in the evaluation of planned and implemented activities within the scope of tax consequences, in the analysis of drawn up contracts regarding tax consequences, as well as advice on tax optimization and implementation of recommended solutions with regard to taxes.

He is experienced in representing clients in tax proceedings and tax and revenue audits, as well as in the processes concerning mergers, divisions and company transformations.

In the past:

  • branch tax consulting team leader at a tax consulting firm belonging to an international consulting group,
  • board member of two tax consulting companies.

Currently:

  • runs his own tax law firm and accounting office.
